Sick Season is upon us. Please see attached letter for some important reminders!

Dear Parent/Guardian,
This is a reminder that like every year at this time, sickness such as, Influenza A&B, RSV, COVID, norovirus and strep throat are all on the rise in our buildings. Some ways to help decrease the risk of getting sick are:
Wash your hands
Stay away from those that are sick
Stay home if you are sick
Be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school/work
Avoid touching your eyes, ears, and nose
Don’t share items such as drinks and utensils
Get a flu shot! It isn’t too late
Temperature/Fever - Below 100° F for 24 hours without medication to reduce temperature (i.e. Tylenol, Motrin)
Rash - Absence of symptoms and/or a note from the doctor stating that the student is not contagious or that treatment has started.
Vomiting or diarrhea (unprovoked, with more than one episode and/or at the nurses discretion) - Child should be on their normal diet and without vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours before returning.
Eye Drainage - No More drainage or a doctor’s note stating they are not contagious. If treatment is prescribed, student may return 24 hours after starting treatment.
Head lice - Must undergo a lice treatment AND have no live lice. Child will need to return to the nurse’s office before going to class for 3 school days and then every other day for 7 school days. A parent is NOT required to bring the student to the office and the student is free to ride the bus to and from school if he/she is a bus rider.
COVID-19 - Fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medications
